I attended the Annapolis Tea Party. I read a statement released by an Illinois congresswoman that called the tea parties despecable and shameful.
In the 1770s their were movements, protests, and unrest throughout the colonies. The Boston Tea Party in 1773, the Annapolis Tea Party in 1774, and many other events. All leading to a somewhat popular document called the Declaration of Independence. The colonies were declaring their independence to the world and to Britain. They had a long list of grievances. And, they were secededing from Britain. Wouldn't surprise if me if some revisionist historian attempted to blame Fox News for this too.
Given the comments of the congresswoman and from the liberal media anyone and everyone that attended a Tea Pary on April 15th is a right-wing extremist. I maintain that using the same criteria our Founding Fathers would be labeled as right-wing extremists as well. Let me say it is an honor to be held in such high esteem. Everyone of us so called right-wing extremists should recognize that we are actually in the same company as the colonists from the 1770s. We have yet to accomplish a fraction of what they did, but they started somewhere and so are we.
I say we are the "mainstream-ists" and the media, congresswoman, and all others that cannot understand we want the same thing our Founding Fathers wanted. We want our unalienable Rights, the right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Those rights conferred upon us by our Creator. Rights than cannot be conferred unto men by man, nor taken away by man either. We want a federal government of few and limited powers as stated in the Constitution. These words are foreign to the media and this congresswoman.
